HISTOLOGY TECHNICIAN

We are currently seeking a histology technician for direct operation of our new histology laboratory. The position requires completion of an approved histology training program or equivalent with 2-3 years experience as histotechnician in all phases of histologic and grossing technique. A Bachelor degree in biological science or equivalent and certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology as a Histotechnician is necessary. Must demonstrate histology technique knowledge, laws and regulations regarding accreditation and licensure of histology laboratories. Responsible for inventory control of supplies. MEDICAL ASSISTANT

The position renders medical assistance to physician/nurse practitioner while seeing patients in the office.  Takes and records patient's vital signs.  Assists physician with other medically related duties (performing procedures) when needed.  Demonstrates initiative, insight and judgement in making decisions.  Outside contacts include insurance company personnel (pre-Certification) and pharmacies (prescriptions).  Makes decisions regarding patient scheduling (procedures), screens patient telephone calls, answers routine medical questions and initiates routine laboratory work.  Successful candidates must have the ability to work one on one with physicians at a fast pace.  Must have some knowledge of computers.  Interpersonal skills required.  Ability to perform required nursing tasks and establish a rapport with patients.  Credentials normally associated with this position are a High School Diploma and two (2) years experience in a related job.  If interested, please fax your resume to 901-747-2380.
